Hunt Valley, MD based Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - America and New Jersey based Terdeca CMG, Inc. announce that they have set up an alliance for the production of corrugating rolls to service the North American market.
"This follows the successful alliance between Holland based Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Equipment Europe and Italian based Terdeca CMG, formed in February 2002, which resulted in a joint production capability of over 1100 sets of rolls per year. Mitsubishi, having installed over 800 single facers worldwide, realized that the manufacturing of corrugating rolls in Japan created long lead times for many of their customers. We decided that they needed to find a Western supplier who had the same commitment to customer service and high level of manufacturing quality as our operation in Japan", stated Randy Schiller, Vice President of Sales, MHI America, Inc.
"With this alliance, Terdeca is now able to produce corrugating rolls that are fully endorsed by Mitsubishi for use in their single facers. Customers continue to order new and reground rolls through Mitsubishi’s sales network and are ensured delivery of top quality rolls manufactured by Terdeca using Mitsubishi’s proprietary Nomura chrome plating technology", said Mike Hoysted, President of Terdeca CMG Group, Inc.
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries - America and Terdeca CMG, Inc. hope to build on the success of the original European alliance by creating a similar agreement in North America. This will enable both companies to offer optimal service to their customers in North America.
